Room smelled like urine and was extremely small for the price! The first day our room was cleaned appropriately, but the other two days all they did was make the beds. When i mentioned it to the front desk the only response I got was ""Oh, it says that they cleaned it"". Too bad because it is a very good location. Newport in itself was a great place to visit, just wouldn't recommend the Econo Lodge!!!

I got in at about midnight and actually only stayed there for about 3 hours until I could find a different hotel. The saff was very, very helpful in this. Though I did not stay here long, I was happy with the customer service they provided. The room was not nearly as nice as the picture depicted it online, and it was extremely outdated, with stains all over the bathroom and a very strong smell of cigarettes even though I was in the non-smoking section. It was as clean as it could get, I doubt there was much the staff could have done for those carpets or furniture except buy new ones. The sheets were clean, and the toilet was scrubbed so I probably would have stayed there if it had just been me vacationing and not my family as well. Its good for single business travelers looking to save a few dollars, but definately not for couples or families.

Older structure, in good repair, clean, convient, friendly helpful staff. Ocean is about 5 blocks from hwy 101 where motel is located. Convient to restraunts and shops. I would reccomend this for anyone wanting value for their buck.
