The room did what we wanted, a place to sleep. The breakfast was not good at all and the room was very smoky where it was served. The room was hard to put a child on the floor to sleep.

10-30-08 This was a great stop for a family on a limited budget. Very clean, neat and easy to find. Staff very helpful and friendly. It's just the basics, room with individual heat/AC control, phone, TV with cable and computer wifi access. There are no hair dryers or coffee pots in the room. Beds were comfortable. Rooms look fresh with modern showers. Resturants and fast food very close. Easy access to interstate. Would stay here again.

I stayed in Rensselaer for a week to capture the photography and history of the area. I chose the Knights Inn over the Holiday Inn because of the price, but realized that the customer service I received from the Knights Inn staff was more than worth the rates charged by the Holiday Inn. The room was consistently clean and stocked every day of my stay, and despite being conveniently next to I-65, the typical highway noise wasn't noticeable. The hotel is located next to fast food and sit-down dining and is just down the road from the City of Rensselaer, which contains great pioneering history and more of that midwestern hospitality. Not only is this hotel an affordable and safe place to lay your head for the night, I highly recommend it as accommodations for an extended stay.

Our purpose in staying here was a place to sleep within 90 miles of Chicago, which was our actual destination. I thought Knights Inn was a great value for what we needed it for, which was just one night. It was clean, it was comfortable, it was very quiet, and it was less than 30 seconds off I-65, our main route to Chi-Town. The bed wasn't exactly high quality, and we were kind of glad we'd brought our own pillows (theirs were fine and clean, and do-able, but not very large), but it was absolutely nothing to complain about. I'd stay there again.
