My two children and I stayed in this hotel in September for one night. We had a such a great time with the pool and great location to the harbor and farmers market, we went back for two nights in October. I was excited we found such a great weekend getaway from Seattle. I added it to my list of top favorites. This is when the nightmare began. The first night I layed down with my children to get them to sleep. I was in the bed for about an hour. I felt a couple sharp pricks on my arm, I looked and had two little welts with a very small red spot in the center. I called the front desk, asked if they had any bug issues. The said no, I'd looked at the great reviews, my children were sleeping I dismissed it. Today I soak myself and my children each night in an epson salt bath to give us reprieve from the biting bugs we continue to experience. This is important because I didn't notice anymore bites the rest of the weekend. The hotel has a saltwater pool! we spent a fair amount of time in the pool Saturday and Sunday. Hence, no other noticable bites. A concern of bugs had far left my mind when we got home Sunday night. Tired I put on the same PJ's I had worn on that first Friday night and layed down. I immediately started getting bit!!! I got up put the PJ's in a plastic bag along with all the other clothes from our weekend and put them in the washer. I thought this would be the end of it. It is now a month later. They are in the couch, the carpet, the beds, our clothes. Nightmare!!!

What a little gem of a hotel. Super comfy bed, coconut lime verbina bath and body treats, yummy breakfast, warm fire next to the overstuffed sofas in the lobby (perfect to curl up with a good book), evening cookies and exceptional customer service...simply exceptional. Only downside was absolutely no fault of the hotel. It just happened that we were on a wing of the hotel that had a bar 1/2 block away. Loud music and louder after hours conversations and more right outside the our first floor window. Would recommend staying on the side of the hotel that is closest to Anthony's and the farmers market. We'll definitely stay here on every trip to Olympia. Got 4 thumbs up from us!

I am surprised to find that this hotel has only been given a 3 star rating. I have stayed in many other hotels that have a 5 star rating, and most of them were not this nice. The decor is beautiful and chic. The pillow top bed was great and felt as wonderful as my bed at home. My teenagers loved the flat screen TV in the very spacious room we shared.
The breakfast buffet (eggs, cheese, waffles, etc.) was wonderful. The area is downtown within walking distance to neat and clean shops, theater and caf?s. The Capital is nearby and the Budd Inlet is across the street. I would certainly recommend staying in this hotel. The price is comparable to La Quinta, Marriott and Holiday Express, but the experience is much better.

While traveling from Vancouver back to San Francisco, we chose a stop-over in Olympia. This hotel is a fantastic value. I was told this hotel was recently renevated. With no reservation I was quoted a good pirce including 24hr pool, free doffee/ tea in the spacious lobby and free breakfats the next morning. My spouse and adult child had a fine room with a roll-away. My bed was extremely comfortable. All worked out great. I even liked the art work on the walls.
There is a parkign lot in the back that "appears on the surface" as safe. As asfe as any out door parking.
When asking the desk fro restaurant recommendations, one was a short walk from the hotel. This restaurant, Gardner's, ended up to be the real gold mine of the stay. The food was some of the best of out entire trip - including dinner in the Empress Room of the Empress Hotel, Victoria BC.
One piece of advice - skip the free breakfast and get coffee and wonderfull fresh pastry at the back shop down the block. We did !
