    My fiancee and I stayed here for the week of Thanksgiving to spend time with his family. While it is obvious the hotel has recently been refurbished, we have had much better stays at hotels in the Bay area. The room was very small and cold because there was a bad draft from the windows. Also, being right off the 101 freeway, the room was VERY loud with traffic noise. The toilet clogged twice and even though the hotel said it was trying to be "green" by not washing towels that were left on the rack, our towels were changed every day. The $* per night charge for parking was a joke since there was only one time that we left when someone was actually at the toll gate to check (we prepaid the $*). The bed was comfortable and the restaurant looked nice (we didn't try it), but we would not stay here again.

    We had a flight connection thru SFO, so decided to extend and spend a couple days in the neighborhood. Our air departure was rather early, so I selected a hotel near SFO with complimentary shuttle service, but did not want to spend a fortune. Crown Plaza fit the bill on all points. Front desk agent was very helpful and courteous to get us a quieter room on a high floor. The lobby areas were fresh and welcoming, the room was clean and the bathroom sparkled. The wide screen TV was very nice. My only drawback was the internet service; I had expected it to be free as I read in the hotel description. But at $* it wasn't horrible. Parking was good and accessible for the time I had a rental car and the parking attendant helpful with some driving directions. Otherwise, the airport shuttle ran frequently and quickly. Little time was spend on the hotel property, so did not check out the restaurant or other facilities. Overall a good experience.

    Room reservations were for 2 double beds, non smoking. When we arrived, our room had been booked and we were given a suite with a kingbed which turned out to be a queen - plus you could smell cigarette smoke when you walked into the suite.

    We arrived early but were informed that our room would not be available until after 3:00 PM. No problem. We checked our bags with the bellman and after standing at the doorway to the restaurant for 7 minutes without being greeted or seated left to find another restaurant off premises. Upon our return we were given the key to Room 1007 and asked that our bags be sent up. When we opened the door to 1007 we walked into an ironing board with a red thong hanging from it and an unmade bed. We returned to the front desk for not merely using the house phone to seek assistance. Interesting, since we had the key to an occupied room. She did not apologize unless one considers How did that happpen? an apology. We were then assigned to Room and I asked that the bellman be informed of the room change.The desk clerk directed me to the bellman who assured us he needed to have our bag receipts. After noting the new room # I reluctantly handed over the tags. An hour and ten minutes later I telephoned the front desk and inquired about our bags. Someone, who I believe was the manager, apologized for the delay explaining that the bellman was a little behind and that our bags would appear shortly. One hour twenty minutes later I again called the front desk. I was immediately transfered to the bellman who explained that he had lost our bag receipts and that he was glad I called. He stated that he had no idea whose bags he was still holding or what our room number was. Both bags had clearly maked ID tags which should have allowed him to find out who the owners were. Never again.

    The Crowne Plaza room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff very helpful. CHeck in was a breeze. Even though we had to pay for parking, it was still a better rate than most of the hotels in the area. Trip in the morning to the airport was a breeze.
