I was here in 2005 when hurricane Katrina hit and the hotel took a blow. I should have never come back!! There is still extensive water damage in the rooms and common areas and no upgrades have been made to the rooms. It appears the hotel is catering to a different sort of customer. Most guest appear to be transient, staying for extended periods of time. I am writing this review from our hotel room while looking for somewhere else to stay my last 2 days. The room is filthy, my husband cut his leg on something hanging off the side of the bed railing, looking for my daughter's gym shoe I found all kinds of "things" underneath the bed, we reserved 2 adjoining rooms only to find they are 3 doors apart and one of the rooms smelled of cat litter and the final nail in the coffin was less than an hour ago we killed a roach.

We were disappointed in the hotel, and probably won't stay there again unless we have to. They don't have internet of any kind in the rooms, and wifi only in a VERY small area of the lobby. Parking was difficult when we checked in since there is a nightclub there that is apparently very popular. We tried to call the front desk from the room and had to keep trying MULTIPLE times before the man answered, and he was very rude to me when I asked about the internet and requested 2 pillows for health reasons. Cigarette burns were in the bedspread also!!

The front desk employees were nice, but that is the only good thing we could say about our experience. There was a hair in the shower and the mat and shower curtain was slimey. THe floor had stains and had not been vacuumed. The pillows were the flatest that I have ever seen. The towels were coarse and were the size of hand towels like you would use in the kitchen. The hotel had two clubs with live DJs and you could hear thumping all night long. The guests of the clubs roamed the halls making noise all night. Our room was $*, but I would rather pay twice the price somewhere else than to stay there again.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at! The rooms were filthy and old. We had to change rooms twice and the only reason we stayed is because we got in at 11:00 p.m. and had already paid for the room. There was a club inside of the hotel and the club goers were roaming the hallways until well after 2:00 a.m. (not to mention the loud pounding music all night) and the smoke from the club (even though there are no smoking signs on every door of the hotel) was so thick in our room that it was actually foggy. We had a very hard time breathing and the windows were sealed shut. We had to request blankets to cover the opening under the door, which didn't help at all. The staff was very rude about our complaints and I would rather sleep on the streets of skid row then stay in one of these hotels! It would probably be safer and cleaner!

I stayed at this hotel with a large group and the room that me and my buddies stayed in loooked nothing like the one displayed on this website. There was dust everywhere and our roomed smelled like smoke and old/moldy carpet. Our air conditioner was molded and the front vent was broken. The carpet had stains and was sort of sticky. The continental breakfast left much to be desired. The bathroom was pretty clean and so were the sheets so i guess that's all you really need. I would barely recommend this hotel for college students on a budget let alone anyone else.
