    My family and I were despearte for 2 rooms for 1 night. We called when we got into town found they had the only available rooms and asked the price and were also told it would be about 1 hr unitl our room is cleaned. Which was ok. When we show up 1.5hrs later, we are told it will be another hour and we discover that we actualy got charged more than quoted on the phone. When we confronted the front desk staff (who were rude and talked back to us) all they said was ""she's new and doesn't know the prices""! When we finally get into our room, one of the towels has curly black hair on it!! Disgusting, I know! So, we just put it in their dirty laundry on the cart. Later we see them pull it out of the dirty laundry and put it back with the clean ones!! Never have any staff anywhere talked to us this way. As well, when checking out we overheard another irrate customer who was there with a team and parents who were overcharged $$$ and didn't look like the staff were going to help too much! Hotel is unsafe, lock up valuables and don't even consider this place.

    My two daughters and I travelled to Saskatoon for a sporting event. We checked in Friday evening. It took more than 30 minutes for us to get our room key. The lady behind the counter told us she was the accountant and had never done check-ins before. It was obvious that she was not properly trained. As we checked in as part of a group, we were quoted a discounted rate of $85/night. It was uncomforting to see a sign on the wall behind the counter that said -"NO REFUNDS". When we entered the room we were greeted by an unpleasant looking room. Not at all what I expected for the price we paid.

    The following is a list of room deficiencies:
    -There were 5 light fixtures in total in the room. The main ceiling light worked. The two lamps did not work (one had no light bulb -open socket). The bathroom fixture (a double light bulb fixture) worked but was also missing one light bulb -open socket. The fluorescent wall-light at the back of the room did not work. So only 2 of 5 lights worked in our room.
    -The room was cold. I tried to turn up the thermostat but it was already set to maximum. Cold air was entering through the exterior doorway. There was a lack of weather-stripping on the door... had to wear sweaters to stay warm.
    -In the morning, there was no hot water.
    -There was no alarm clock/no wake-up service.
    -No security chain on the room door.

    Other members of our group had similar problems with their rooms.
    -no running water in the toilet.
    -broken glass on bathroom floor.
    -blood stains on bed sheets.
    Our group was asking the hotel manager to fix the problems but he was rude and verbally offensive.
