• A Five Star Experience with Magnificent Breathtaking Views

  Our late August 2007 stay at The Aerie Resort?s Villa Cielo was a memorable 5-star experience with its breathtaking views, peaceful ?airy? atmosphere, and outstanding restaurant. Our suite was bright, exceptionally clean, well maintained, and showed no wear and tear.
  
  The villa is higher up the mountain from the main resort and offers simply outstanding views of a fjord some 2000 feet below with wider views of the San Juan Islands, Victoria, and the Olympic Mountains with their snow caps beyond.
  
  The Aerie?s excellent restaurant has a serene (airy feel) and appears to be a recent upgrade with new interior and furnishings. It offers ?On Top of the World Views? of lower Vancouver Island. The Aerie pianist, Billy Andrusco, is an outstanding talent that adds to the serenity that encompasses dinner each evening. Chef Christophe Letard?s food quality and presentations are excellent and added considerably to our stay. Breakfast, included in the room rate, was a unique and rewarding experience.
  
  A new General Manager, Patrick Blanch, was very attentive to guest needs and leads a new management team with great attention to details. Maria Schuster, founder of The Aerie, is a positive, delightful hostess and very easy to talk with.
  
  The current Aerie Spa is clean, well-maintained, but small. A new, Wellness Center is planned for 2010 The Aerie has an excellent new fitness center, with state-of-the-art equipment.
  
  The weather for our stay was bright sun and temps in the high 70s, which was perfect. We enjoyed our suite?s private patio and soaked in the heavenly views.
  
  Check with the resort staff relative to late fall and winter weather conditions as this resort resides high on a mountain.
  
  A stay to remember and well worth a FIVE STAR COMMENDATION!
