I am writing this review from my room. I am extremely disappointed. My reservation (made well in advance) confirmation stated that I would have a room equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, work desk with ergonomic chair and a lounge chair and ottoman....none of these things were in the room. Because of these expectations, my husband and I came with food for our meals during our stay. Sadly, this food will go to waste. The shower head is falling off the wall in the bathroom, with plumbing exposed, and the door to the hallway didn't close well, leaving a 1/4"" gap on all sides. We are able to see the light from the hall with the door closed and locked. The walls in the room show signs of damage, though I can't determine the cause of the damage. The room decor is straight out of the 80s, complete with Pepto pink walls and furniture coated with a ""rustic-looking"" faux-finished beige veneer. The desk staff on duty when we checked in seemed more interested in visiting with the teenagers hanging around in the lounge than with welcoming and assisting us with check-in. I should be thankful I've got a bed to sleep in and a roof over my head. However, if I had known the accommodations were going to be this sub-par, I would've spent a few extra dollars per night to stay at one of the other hotels in Freeport. I've never seen a Holiday Inn like this...I stay in Holiday Inns because I've always been pleased with the accommodations. Additionally, I cannot seem to find a way to leave this type of feedback on Holiday Inn's website. I won't be recommending this hotel to anyone I know, nor will I stay here again.
