Granted... isn't cheap, but consider this is southern California afterall. While wanting to show my daughter Sunset and Santa Monica and Hollywood Blvds, I did NOT want to pay budget breaking New York type prices twice that amount for a cramped, older and noisy room just to be "near the action". Yes the Renaissance is 30 minutes or so north on the 405 and 101, but worth the drive. New, clean, sparkling, spacious, fresh, great amenities, immaculate, and Quiet (try to find that anywhere in So Cal)! Plenty of local and family restaurants within 5 minutes if driving. Great access to the Malibu Canyon roads - Kanan or Malibu Canyon Road - and up the coast to Neptune's Net for Sunday noon lunch with the weekend Bikers - the line starts growing close to 12 but arrive by 1130 to order with no delay. This hotel was everything we could hope for, a reasonably short drive to the Hollywood/Bev Hills area, but quiet and reasonable. And the rolling hills and ranch area are a nice change of pace from the metro area. A very comfortable feeling to take a break and spend the night away from the metro area at a very very reasonable price for the high quality of the rooms, beds and hotel.

I am a single man and I have stayed at the Renaissance Agoura Hills several times in the past few years and it never fails to make me feel welcome. The staff is attentive and answers my questions with a smile. During my latest stay my bathroom had a problem with the toilet and they fixed it while I was out for the afternoon. When I returned all was fine and the bathroom was spotless. I think their staff are well-trained and attentive. I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

This hotel is a "10" Star Hotel. Every part of the hotel is excellent. The location to the freeway is close, but off enough not to hear any noise. The pool and spa are wonderful, the putting green on the fourth floor, and the basketball hoop around the back, are secret finds. The staff are polite, helpful and dressed well. This hotel is great for weekend getaways, or family friendly to take the kids. The location to Thousand Oaks and Calabasas is only 10 minutes. Plenty of places to eat, and plenty of parks to work off dinners.

This hotel is tucked in on the South side of highway 101 just West of Woodland Hills, CA about 30 minutes travel distance from UCLA. The hotel was hard to see from the highway but the hotel staff gave good directions when I called them by cell phone. The room condition was excellent and of modern style. Very nice high definition flat panel TV and good TV channels. People were using this hotel for a wedding reception when we visited. They had a grand Christmas tree in the main entrance when we visited. Two main elevators that were very fast. Complimentary newspapers and internet. Staff courteous. Pine trees in front of room patio with view of the hills (facing highway 101). Fast foods (MacDonalds and Jack in the Box) and gas stations near this highway exit.
