I have family in Decatur and am down there 2-3 times a year. I can tell you about every hotel in Decatur; I've stayed in darn near all of them. I had stayed at the Jameson for my last 3-4 visits. My last stay was, well, my last stay there. They put a group of 20-somethings next to us. I was young once, and can tolerate some partying. However, I had to call the front desk to get an after-midnight jam session to stop. I know they don't know what guests are going to do, but do you put a bunch of musician/skateboarders next to a couple seasoned citizens? Then, there's the housekeeping, or rather the lack thereof. When I got there, I moved the ottoman and found food underneath. The commode was disgusting. I would be ebarassed to have that in my home. Finally, if you're not out of your room by about 9:00 or 10:00, forget about having your room cleaned. I stay there around the holidays and understand people wanting to get home early on the days before Thanksgiving and Christmas. This was in the middle of August, for crying out loud. We were out about 11:00 and the room wasn't touched. Three days in a row. Sorry, Jameson. Never again. Buh-bye

Stayed overnight on our way to Florida. The location was a few miles off of the highway, but was in a nice area. The staff was friendly and accomidating. The rooms were small, but nicely decorated. Our first room we were given, unfortunately, had been about half cleaned. There were wet towels hanging on the back of the bathroom door and one of the beds had been made up, but I do not think the linens had been changed. I found a hair and crumbs and a few stains on the sheets. I went to the desk and asked to be switched to a different room. The man apologized and got us another room immediately. The second room was clean and fine for the night.

We were overall satisfied with our stay here. Rooms were clean and comfortable a little small but still nice. Fitness room was okay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They upgraded our room to one with micro and fridge for only 7 bucks. My only complaint was that the pool is very small. We had two kids with us and by the time they were in the pool with maybe six others it was full. Plenty of resturants near by along with shopping centers. Will stay at this hotel again next year when we go back.

We stayed here not knowing the hotel at all. We were very pleasantly surprised! The rooms were clean, smelled good, had everything we needed and then more. The staff was ver attentive to our needs and even helped us find a realtor in the area. Close to restaurants and shopping and most other things in town.
