The hotel was very full and when I got up in the morning to take a shower there was no hot water. The bed was uncomfortable and felt like a $* mattress you can buy at the bargain furniture store. I forgot to check out when I left the hotel in the morning so I called them and dropped the key off later, the clerk I talked to said that she would discount my room because of the hot water situation but when I looked at my CC bill there was no discount. All in all an unpleasant experience. I travel to Ames about once a month for an overnight and I will not stay at this hotel again.

Stayed here while looking at IA State University. Don't expect eggs or bacon at breakfast, but hey, the breakfast comes with the room. Clean, but next time I'll bring my own pillow. Sheets are rather worn. It was hot in the room so we turned the ac fan on; it was loud all night long when it would kick in.

We stayed here for a weekend during our summer travels. The hotel staff is excellent and the rooms were priced right. We thought the hotel was very clean and the pool area perfect for our kids. We have stayed in other hotels near this one, and this is definately the best!
