  We stayed here about two of weeks ago. thought the hotel was a nice place to stay. rooms were nice and clean. towels were soft unlike some hotels towels. king ...

  We stayed here about two of weeks ago. Thought the hotel was a nice place to stay. Rooms were nice and clean. Towels were soft unlike some hotels towels. King size rooms have a softbed in them. Only draw back I had was there was no ref. or mic. in the room. Over all it was a nice stay. We would stay there again sometime.

  I have stayed at this Mrriot several times on business conferences at the nearby Hickory Mart . I like the easiness of having the hotel in walking distance from the Mart. The beds are awesome! The best sleep I evr had. There are several nearby restuarants for lunch abd dinner, but the hotel has a wonderful breakfast dining room with many choices of fare. The staff is friendly and love the availablity to a indoor pool,hot tub, internet access and cozy lounge area to meet up with co-workers for a relaxing chat. I find the rooms clean and roomy. For a chain hotel, it has many amenities that you can find at 4 star hotels. It 's essence is not a ""plastic, cookie cutter"" budget hotel.

  I travel for business a lot, and generally try to stay at a Marriott brand. This is an independently owned hotel and was less than the best. I thought the room was very outdated, the lighting was very dark and institutional, the bathroom and the carpet was not very clean. The shower in the morning was lukewarm at best. They had plenty of TV channels but the remote was not functioning properly. I had intended to stay longer but checked out early. Would only stay again if I can't find a better hotel. Going to try the Fairfield next door.

  very nice accommodations, near a great furniture mart (just looking), easy access to RT 40, nice meal choices and we were well rested to enjoy our trip to the Biltmore in Asheville the next day.
