    This Ramada USED to be a fantastic value for our family when we were looking for a winter getaway with the kids. The Grand Rios water park is located on the same campus so there are many things to keep the kids busy. Not sure what happened in the last year but the front desk staff couldn't get our rooms right, then sent us to a room with wasn't even clean. The kids were tired, I was exhausted from working with incompetent staff. And to top it all off we were issued the same room as a family we didn't even know! How does that happen? After the front desk manager took care of our room issues - the service issues continued on. Our food from the Beach House took 85 minutes to reach us - and it wasn't even entirely there. Don't bother buying more wrist bands for the water park...no one even checks anymore! If you are looking for an overnight with the kids skip this hotel, it was everything but enjoyable.

    We chose not to add the waterpark passes because we would be busy with a hockey tournament all weekend. The waterpark is the only thing special about this hotel. The hotel pool was small with no tables or chairs unless you have a poolside room. The spa was out of order. They no longer have the big tunnel/net/slide play area - it is just an empty room. The arcade is still there, but has relocated and is way smaller than it used to be. The hallways were very noisy all night. They also do not offer any sort of free breakfast on the weekends, so you have to go to the restaurant. Because of our hockey tournament, we stopped at the desk on Saturday night and asked for late check out the next day. She said we had to come back in the morning as they only allow a certain number of late check outs and there were a lot of wedding guests (who apparently were more important). So I stopped by the desk at 6 AM Sunday morning and she said we could check out at noon rather than 11, and that was a big deal.

    The hotel was fine...good value and the water park was great for the kids. The restaurant, however, was very bad. Very slow service and the food on the breakfast buffet was almost non-existent. They would run out of main dishes and not replace them for about 20 minutes. The restauraunt was very dirty (and it was not busy at the time...three to four tables) and to get a drink to go with your buffet was almost impossible. After 10 minutes and two requests I finally got my water...room temperature water in a paper cup with no ice in it. Stay at the hotel, but eat at Wendy's across the street or venture out.

    I had expected to stay at a much more modern business type hotel and instead ended up in a rather tired older style Days Inn type hotel. Rooms furnature was heavily stained as was the carpet. litter in the public areas. At Best this is a two star hotel that could use some better maintenance.

    room I was given reeked of smoke so bad I requested another room. The room also had stains on the floors and burn marks throughout the room. The second room was a little better. Beds are very uncomfortable. Both times I have stayed here there have been many people wandering the halls late at night. Lots of activity at night here. I stayed here only because it is 10 mins from downtown Minneapolis.
