We had searched for sooo long around the birmingham area to find a decent hotel - this hotel we had previously skipped because of the bad reviews, however, it has recently been remodled and is a very good choice!!! We were very pleased with the room, the only drawback is we had a queen size bed when we are used to a king size (but we knew when we booked that they only had queens available). The bed was very comfy with lots of pillows! Nice kitchen and pull-out sofa bed. They also have a snack bar that is open 24/7 that was very convenient. Big muffins for breakfast, friendly staff, overall we really enjoyed ourselves!

This does not seem like a Marriott. It looked pretty good from the outside. Of course, it was dark. The rooms were small and cramped. The floors were dirty. The dishes said ""washed but not sanitized"". The kitchen was outdated and quite frankly, I would not have cooked in that kitchen if I needed to. The rooms needed serious updating. Just yuck.
