We arrived late and the office closes at 8 p.m. The key was taped to the door as we were told it would be. After we got into the room, we discovered the heater only blew cold air and the commode was clogged. Since the staff goes home at 8 p.m. we had to sleep in a cold room and couldn't use the commode. We searched the hotel instruction book but found no one to call in case of emergency. The next moring, we told the office clerk and she just smiled and said sorry. We had prepaid for the room so there was no negotiating on a reduced rate because of the non-working heater or commode. Granted it wasn't in the prepaid travelocity agreement that we would be refunded any amount if things weren't up to par, but it would have been nice if the hotel management had offered since we were greatly inconvenienced. Next time we'll stay at one of the other hotel in Manitou Springs.

great place to stay for the price
09/21/2009The villa motel was located close to the shops and restaurants. the staff was friendly and the room was very clean and large- even with a king size bed.

When my husband and I went to Colorado Springs for a family reunion, I tried to find a motel with personality in an interesting area. We loved Manitou Springs (the historic town near Colorado Springs where we stayed) and the privacy of our little cabin. but the main Motel looked very nice also. We used the carport for shade and shelter from a rain storm plus also had the modern conveniences of good t.v. and Internet. It was clean and everyone was very helpful...we will stay there again if we go to that area!

Last year we had a problem with our car window and these folks went above and beyond to help us! First they lent us tools, then came out to help, and finally helped us tape it up till we could get it into the shop. We will stay here every time we go to Manitou Springs - as a matter of fact, I am making plans to stay there next week!!

05/13/2007A little old fashioned looking on the outside. rooms were very modern and well maintained. having an in room fridge and micro was great. excellent value for the area.
