I was sadly disappointed by the dated furnishings/paint/picture in the room. The usual amenities were not there: coffee maker, hair dryer, fridge, no pen/paper...The bedspread was faded and had obvious holes on the top. The pillows were flat and hard. I didn't use the shower, as the tub could have used a good cleaning.

Rooms extremely small, entry to room is from the outside, there seemed to be people milling around outside at all hours (schedule was such that I came and went at different times of day and night); not sure it's a good place to stay for solo traveler. Plus side: it was clean, front desk people very helpful.

We came into LA on a late flight from Michigan and was going to head up to San Fran in the morning. This worked out great because it was about 30 min north from the airport . This was a nice clean place, safe area and easy to find. The continental breakfast was muffins, donuts juice and coffee, which was fine. There was a nice pool there that we did not use. I would stay here again. Just a tip if anyone is going to take the scenic drive from LA to San Fran along highway one - it is about an 11 hour drive with min. stops. Coming from San Fran to LA back home on highway 5 it was 5 hours. That is a huge difference. Although I have to say that was the most beautiful drive I ever took, and I've been to Hawaii and the caribien, so it was worth it, just be prepared for a long drive and FYI - San Fran in COLD!

The room was really smokey and the bed was very uncomfortable due to the bed having a big dent in the center. I was unable to lay down in the center of the bed due to over usage.
