This is a warning for anyone who is traveling on a budget: this hotel requires a large deposit. I booked here for 9 nights totaling costing approximately $*. The kicker to this hotel is that when I checked in, they required over $* in deposit money in addition to the $* which I had already paid. Traveling on a budget, I couldn't do without that $* for the duration of my vacation (a huge chunk of my spending money). So be warned anyone booking here. If you have the money to spare, you will be fine. If not, then don't book here. I did stay one night here. The hotel room was spacious and clean. The rooms were a little worn down (paint chipped off the doors, etc.). The setting was beautiful. The hotel is very hard to find and quite out of the way. San Diego roads on that side of town can be very confusing and it isn't easy to find an interstate nearby.

We went on a family vacations and were trying to do it as cheap as possible. We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and it was AWESOME! It was so nice there that we decided to stay an extra night. The staff was incredible, they helped us out with finding directions. We would call and asked how to get some where and they would come and deliver us printed direstions of where to go. We asked for directions to the movie theater and they not only printed us direction, they also printer movie times for the theater. The hotel was clean, the stafff was so friendly. I was so sad to have to leave, because it felt like home. They even have granite couter tops in the bathroom! The beds were so comfortable, the air conditioner worked great. I let them know that we needed a refirdgerator for my sons medications and when we got there they have a refridgerator in our room! I can't wait to come back. It is close to the freeway easy to get to. We are coming back in October and I am so excited!!! I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone! Lindsay

The customer service was amazing! On the last day of my trip I ended up on my own when my friend had to leave early, so the front desk staff stepped up and helped me find things to do in San Diego and mapped everything out for me. They were an amazing help! And when I was scared I wouldn't wake up for my flight in the morning, they even let me take a short nap in the office! They were by far the most helpful people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! Thank you so much to everyone at the hotel who made my trip unforgettable!

NEVER STAY IN THIS HOTEL!!!!
07/13/2009When i arrived there was clean and nice room, but when we come back later at night, ther was roaches all over the room!....there coming out from the ac. ...
WHEN I ARRIVED THERE WAS CLEAN AND NICE ROOM, BUT WHEN WE COME BACK LATER AT NIGHT, THER WAS ROACHES ALL OVER THE ROOM!....THERE COMING OUT FROM THE AC. I WENT TO THE FRONT DESK, THE MANAGER PUT US IN A DIFERENT ROOM AND SHE REIMBURSE ONLY 15 DOLLARS FOR THE FOOD THAT WE LOST. WE SPEND ARAUND 50 DOLLARS BUT SHE WANTED THE RECIPT, AND WE LOST IT.....THE MORNING LADY WAS VERY NICE. WE'LL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!!!!!

The first night there was quite an experience with several seemingly drunken people yelling and screaming at each other around 1AM. This finally subsided after about 11/2 hours. The second night also involved drunken yelling, pounding on walls, etc., and the intervention of the Police around 2:30 AM. After about 2 hours, the Police left and the bottle breaking in the parking lot took place, which essentially ended my attempts to get any sleep that night. The next two nights were restful finally after the Inn seemed to hire a private security guard. Hopefully, they have come to terms with a strategy to deal with unruly guests!
