The room had the previous occupant's garbage in it. I noticed a small cockroach in the sink but didn't see any others. After getting into bed, I felt something crawling on me. When I turned on the lights, there were cockroaches everywhere! I had to find another hotel at 1:00 am in the morning! The managment did refund my money but claimed they ""hadn't had a cockroach problem for the last few weeks"". Disgusting.

Was staying in hotel next store, had to find cheaper place to stay. Was horrified by first room that I was given, smelled bad . The next room was only barely livable, gaps around front door were so large that frogs entered the room from the small pond across road.

Compared to other lodging in the area, clean and economical compared to other higher, overpriced places. Easy drive to beaches and city attractions. It's not Hampton Inn or othes, don't expect more than you paid for, especially for a night or 2. It's was good price for what you received for the area.

We enjoyed our stay very much - access to Charleston by the beautiful bridge was just blocks away, plus Patriots Point was closeby, too. We happened to visit the Pinckney house on a day that they had living history exhibitions for the local school children - a definite plus to our vacation. The harbor tour and Fort Sumter gives you a good feel for the history of the area. Take a surry ride thru historic city - easy on your feet, pocketbook & lots of lore you wouldn't otherwise know. Don't forget to visit the Hunley, too.
