Overbooked, unprepared, unresponsive
10/13/2009They overbooked and so the pre-paid room was not avaialble. put in a room with broken a/c stuck on hi. temp was 44 degrees. had to sit in ...
They overbooked and so the pre-paid room was not avaialble. Put in a room with broken A/C stuck on hi. Temp was 44 degrees. Had to sit in lobby till bed time to avoid freezing. Personal items thrown away by staff as trash and motel took a month and 8 phone calls before they agreed to pay $* for the loss and inconvenience.. Yep.. a whole $*... a joke. Just try to get a manager there to return a call. Met other unhappy guests while staying warm in the lobby. Many rooms had no sheets or pillow cases. The ice machines in the hall were broken and you had to go to front desk for ice.

Location was really good. the hotel sits on a hill, making you feel as though you are in the Mtns, but actually downtown. Close in to anything you may want on vacation get away. Breakfast at the hotel was good;very clean and properly stocked with the morning goodies. the room was clean, and quiet. The pool area and game room was fun.

I loved the room. Me and and my family found another home far away from home. I will definitely stay there next time, no question about it. The customer service was excellent. The staff very friendly and helped anytime we needed anything. The pool was warm and fun. My son loved it. The breakfast they served was very good. It saved us some money, thanks. Keep up the good work Best Western, Boone, NC.

Check-in was fast and easy. It was very clean and had good curb appeal. The staff was friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was excellent. I would stay here again. They also provided a laundry service that came in handy with a 17 month old child.

I was traveling with my young daughter to pick my other daughter up from her first year in college. This was our first time staying at this hotel but we will be back! The continetal breakfast, while traditional, was good. The game room would have been great if she was a little older. Games were better suited for teenagers/adults; however, the game room was clean and nice. The pool was nice and while I did see others in there throughout our stay, the times we went, we were the only ones in the pool. Rooms were clean and well cared for. Having the mini fridge in the room as well as a microwave was very nice. While there, I felt that we were safe. Most of my traveling is with my daughters and I am very concerned about safety when we travel.
