We stayed at this location for 6 nights due to several Family Functions in the area. We had many problems from the onset in which we were advised 15 of us could get ready in 1/2 hr in 1 room as the other 4 rooms were not ready yet, after an early check in was approved, this being at 4:30PM.
There was a TV fire in our room in the early morning hours, in which my husband prevented a possible catastrophic situation. One in which the next AM we were accused of potentially starting by the GM. After a phone call to the Fire Marshall and investigation, we suddenly were not to responsible for the fire and the TV was removed from the premises.
After several requests to s/w Management as the Owners of this facility would not speak with us, the GM was rude, disrestpectful and arrogant, Upon departure, we made 1 final attempt to resolve this issue and it again resulted in the GM acting in the same manner, after the owner walked away and got her when we asked to meet with her.
It is our opinion that the Owners of this hotel is not too proud of it, as they would not identify themselves as the owners rather we learnt same from the unhappy employees whom were there. As for the GM, it our opinion she will not succeed there, as she appeared to be the top of the problems with this hotel.
We would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and question the validity of how safe it is to others. -

This was a last minute trip to travel to Antietam Battlefield. The motel was close to the battlefield and near to a Crackerbarrell, my favorite place to eat. In the evening there was a terrible storm and we lost the electricity. There was no contact with the front desk, but then what could they do? On the third floor, with no air cond. I was asleep before it came on. The staff was nice. The breakfast had more food then we expected. I would recommend it.

The room was dirty, overpriced and the non-smoking room was filled with cigarette smells. My brother-in law came in after we di without a reservation and was able to get a room 1/4 mile away in a Sheraton Four Ponts hotel for $5.00 less which was clean with a full service restaurant. He said the rooms were very clean and comfortable.

Hotel is relatively new. We stayed here on our way from Michigan to southern Virginia. Rooms are relatively large, but aren't really two room suites--just an arch separating the beds from the sitting area. Continental breakfast included hot foods (eggs & sausage and even make your own waffles!). Swimming pool is pretty small, but looked like it would serve its purpose. Good value for the money. Would definitely stay here again.
