First time at the Wingate, but have stayed at several Columbia "low priced" motels and this beat them all by far. We felt we were getting a big upgrade. Large room, large bath, large towels and all very clean. Slept like a log after 700 plus mile drive from Denver that morning. Staff was super friendly and the amenities would be great if we had more time. Being close to a nice restaurant, TGI Fridays, also helped. Their internet service requires a phone cord hook up and maybe a call to the desk but that's always the way if their wifi is secured. Not a big concern for us but to many I think. We were very pleased with our accomodations and plan to stay here on our annual trek East.

The front desk was very nice. The room was large and the sheets and bedding were nicer than expected. I loved that they had a microwave and fridge in the room. I stayed here alone and as a girl felt safe and thought everything was very clean. Breakfast was great and I loved the hot options!

this hotel was beautiful and had an awesome room it was great the breakfast bar was huge with all fresh foods eggs and toast and much much more so my husband said; im not much of a breakfast person...BUT we have an 8 month old son so we are a family with young kids and my son got hurt twice while we staied at the hotel there the room wasnt very well protected and the bathroom was very clean but wasnt the nicest part about the best thing the bathroom had was the floor was extreamly clean and for once there wasnt a peice of hair in the tub at all. the room was very large and that was nice and the bed was very nice as well the tv and internet were hard to figure out the internet you had to sign up to some thing before it would turn on for you and the tv was one that if you didnt know the remote and you hit the wrong button or if your kid didnt know and hit a button you would be paying for something you also have to give a deposit down when you arrive there the hotel is nice not family orenantated what so ever its more for business type people i would not recomend this place to anyone with a family i just didnt feel like i could be myself and let my son be himself

Employees friendly and helpful; room was spacious, clean and had great amenities; easy access to get to the hotel; the continental breakfast was excellent with many choices...the only negative thing was the pool area didn't seem very clean - the pool water was cloudy and the floor was not clean.

03/21/2009Everything was excellent -- price, staff, cleanliness, room. it's the best hotel i know in that part of town. only complaint: the faux eggs, how about scrambled?
