  I booked a romantic New Year's Getaway for my husband as a Christmas gift. We were really looking forward to getting away without the kids for a rare getaway for the two of us, and I made the reservation a month ahead of our trip. I reserved a room with a King Sized bed and deluxe bathroom with whirlpool tub, but when we got there, we were put in a small, standard-sized room with two beds. When my husband called the front desk to inquire about it, he was put on hold and ignored. We went to the front desk where I showed them my online confirmation printout and they gave us the runaround for about 30 minutes. I was so annoyed, I walked away, but my husband finally got to speak to a manager, who told him ""your reservation does not guarantee a specific room, only that you will have a room in the hotel."" After arguing with man who refused to give us another room or a discount, we finally gave in because it was late and we were hungry. Parking was also problematic. The hotel does not have a parking garage, so there is this crazy, convoluted valet parking system. You can't just go and get your car -- you have to call downstairs and have a valet get it for you. The valet workers were very nice and courteous (some of the nicest people we delt with during our trip) but it is inconvenient, and we were very hungry after wasting a lot of time dealing with our room mix-up. We came back to the hotel and went to bed early because we were annoyed and no longer felt like celebrating. It's really too bad because it is a nice hotel in a great location.

  Great location it was right downtown easy to find and the staff was very friendly. They are doing some remodeling so there was a little bit of construction noise during the days - but that is expected with change. Free drinks we a ++++ and the breakfast was nice too - overall a good visit.
