Staff were great- friendly and very helpful. Pool is enclosed and there is no air conditioning--much too hot to be enjoyable...if you want a quick swim and no lounging it would be ok. My room was clean and showing signs of age. The bathroom floor tiles were beautiful, but a few were loose and barefoot annoying. The air conditioner was causing the humidity in the room to condense===so had a wet top to the radiator--and woke to see "fog" in the room. Good location-staff were very friendly and made recommendations for dining-no complaints with staff at all. One and half blocks away there's a Vietnamese/Japan restaurant--provides you with two menus which was quite enjoyable and across the st. from this restaurant is an Indian place that has a great buffet for lunch. Both were average in cost and won't break the bank.

We drove 8 hours to come and check in here to find that the room we reserved with 2 beds was no longer available, but they could get us a room with 1 bed! Why have reservations? The family that was checking in before us had the same problem. They did finally offer us 2 rooms for the price of one, but when we went to go in our rooms, one was still dirty! This was @ 10pm! We were exhausted and couldn't even enjoy the pool or the room itself because it took so long for us to get rooms! The rooms we had were nice but it wasn't worth the hassle to get them. People were complaining all night long about the service.

We stayed for two nights, but nevver again! Our room faced an intense parking lot light and the curtains made the glare fuzzy at best with no light blocking ability whatsoever. We spent our day away from the hotel and when we returned later that evening, we found the room just the way we left it. No housekeeping service made it to us. The next morning when I complained, the person at the front desk just said they would pass on the information. Very uncaring. Needless to say, I frequently travel to this area, but will no longer give them my business.

The hotel was actually better than advertised. The room looked as good as the on line photo. We were able to get a king sized bed although one was not available at time of booking the room. The desk staff ,day and night, were very friendly and helpful. We shall stay there again when we return to New London.

I stay at this hotel about every other month and staff have always been very helpful. They even kept the lounge open an extra hour so we could relax when we arrived late. I think the location of the hotel is great. It's within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and a short walk to Ocean Beach.
