I chose this hotel because it fit my budget and there were 20 reviews that seemed goo. I got a little nervous after I booked the hotel realizing the last review was from 2007. I was greatly surprised how cute this little hotel was when we arrive. The front desk staff were so helpful. I was worried, I had heard French people can be difficult upon us American's who don't speak French. Every morning the front desk person would gives us tips on which subway line to catch. Remember this is a budget hotel, so the room is a little small and the bathroom is small. The shower just had a handheld shower head. The walls were a little thin. The morning breakfast was perfect and probably saved us $20-$30 Euros a day. Free wi-fi was a major plus. Also, it is very close to the train station. The little town is adorable, although difficult to find someone who speaks English, but all were nice.

we stayed here for 5 days. it was nice, just hard to find when you're not familiar with paris' regional rail system. the train to take to get there isn't marked on the maps you pick up from the airport. (FYI: once you get to (gare) saint lazarre the platform u want is for the regional trains to the Ile de France. the stop u want is Asniere sur Seine) once we found it, it was very convenient. places to eat and shops nearby. quiet. seems safe. 5 minute walk to the train station. and a 5-10 minute ride to paris. the hotel was clean and claimed to be nonsmoking even though it smelled very strongly as if our neighbors were smoking. room was small but it was what i expected for paris. late night staff was not very friendly but daytime staff were ok and spoke english well. as usual, people are more helpful if u at least attempt to speak french first. the complimentary breakfast wasn't anything to write home about but it was good enough. the best thing about this place was the price. i don't think you can find a better deal for the quality you receive.

Small clean rooms, just 3 blocks from train station, decent breakfast. Small town ambiance, butcheries, bakeries, fruit stands, very cozy, not so many tourists. Never ate better, we actually came back from downtown to eat around Asnieres (1 block from Siene river). Safety? right next to the police station. ATM's nearby, a supermarket where you can by water for 0,70 instead of 4.0. Definetely consider staying again there.
