I stayed at this hotel last night. We went there to swim with our kids. The pool area was FILTHY. Hair globs, bandaids, gum and sticky spills all over the pool area. I called the front desk at 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm. No one ever came to vaccum the chips and cigarette butts outside our pool side room. There were lots of birthday parties going on. And the first room they booked us into, the person next to us was completely blocking our entrance into the pool with their big BD party. Needless to say, we asked to be moved. The poolside rooms are small, barely enough room for 2 Q's. No fridge, which is a minus for us. Beds were poor quality. Mismatched blankets under the comforters (one was a down like comforter, the other a gross hotel blanket). Pillows were HORRIBLE. Of the 4 in the room, only one was tolerable. Lumpy and small. Beds were awful as well. This morning, we came out to find the tables and chairs had all been moved, but tables were all dirty yet and still no one had cleaned or swept the pool area. So, now it was really filthy. No continental breakfast. I will mention too, there is no hotel security in the pool area. Kids were jumping off the blue and green slides and stopping up the waterslide. They hit the emergency shut off 3 times and nothing was done. I saw MANY people without wrist bands and people walking around with glass beer bottles. I did venture out to my vehicle after dark and was a bit nervous. This is right next to a big housing project, lots of unsavory characters. I was worried my vehicle would be broken into.

Other than the people being nice, this is the worst hotel I ever stayed in. It needed to be refurbished 5 years ago. It is dark, carpets are spotted, worn, and dirty, the rooms are outdated. We ate at the in-hotel restaurant and neither of us could eat most of what was served.

My daughter's wedding reception was at this hotel, so we had several rooms. The smell of chlorine is unbearable from the water park located in the center of the hotel and the noise and humidity were terrible also. There were literally hundreds of kids in the pool during the day and the only adult time was between 11 PM and midnight. I had a constant headache from the chlorine smell and actually had to leave the hotel to get get rid of the head pain. The beds were old and very inconfortable and so were the pillows. Housekeeping was loud and inadequate. I was advised in advance that I would have a fridge in my room for my insulin and when I finally did get one, it was filthy. I also requested a crib, which I never got. The restaurant food is OK, but the service is slow. The front desk employees were friendly, but this did not make up for the poor quality and service. This is supposed to be the best hotel in Bismarck. Fortunately, I don't anticipate any future trips. I had the feeling that most of the guest (registered or not) were just there to use the waterpark facilities as this is the only reason I can imagine anyone wanting to be there. They did do an adequate job with the ballroom for the wedding reception and my daughter said the bridal suite was very nice, except for the chlorine smell.

Hairs around sink and on toilet-never good sign. Only one in restaurant at 10pm, not served until 10:40. For billing itself as classy restaurant, meal itself left much to be desired...steak tough and whatever you do, don't order augratin potatoes unless you have penchant for onion powder. Mattress was so-so and pillows sucked. Housekeeping very noisy in morning, slamming doors up and down hallway. Managed only lukewarm shower. Perhaps for easy to please family who value waterslide above all else, okay place. For business traveler looking for good meal, comfy bed, go elsewhere.

This was by far the best hotel we stayed in on our trip from Oregon to North Dakota. The room was in great shape,bed was comfortable and the AC was perfect.
