We reserved 2 rooms, one for us and one other couple. It seemed as though the attendant was bothered to check us in. The other couple in our party got to there room, and it smelled like cigarette smoke, so they called the front desk and asked if they could get a different room. When they went down stairs to get the new room key, they asked if they could get a King room, instead of the room with 2 queen beds. They were told that the hotel was completely booked and no rooms were available with a king bed. The other couple said to the same bothered attendant, have you looked in the parking lot? There were only a hand full of cars in the parking lot, so we know for a fact they weren't booked up. We have been going to this Shilo Inn for the past 4 years, and this will be the last time! Sorry I am self employed and I didn't see the customer service we should have received, especially during this economic time!

reasonable rate, room and stay

went during the off season, so got a great rate, wasn't crowded. hotel was clean, staff was great, pool was WARM and jacuzzi nice. not the fanciest of hotels, could use a little updating but you're at the beach! plus they offered a pet friendly room, great all around family hotel.

Front desk was slow and rude as stated in other reviews as well. Swimming pool heater was broke (so they said. Saw the gas truck at the hotel next morning. Someone just forgot to have the tank filled) Hot tub was broke as well. The so called fireplace in the room is literally a plastic log with a lightbulb behind it. The TV in our room had lines going through the picture. Restaurant was out of several items we ordered. The one positive is that the bed was comfortable. Overall, save your money and go to another hotel.

First off, my trip to ocean shores was very spontanious. I left in the evening in Seattle and arrived at OS at almost midnight with a 2.5 year old and 4 year old in tote. Being with my children I wanted to make sure not to stay at a hotel that's dirty or sleezy, so I drove right into Shilo Inn due the appearance on the outside expecting it to be very nice. I feel I was totally taken advantage of being midnight and a young woman with a couple of small kids and ended up paying * bucks on a Monday night for a room. The waiting area was VERY tacky, the wall 'o aquirium was so absoltutley disgusting and looked like it hadent been cleaned in over a month and wasn't even lit and seems like there were only two or three fish still alive. The workout room and pool felt poorly built, very outdatewd looking. It just wasn't turning out to be worth * bucks a night. I do feel that the rooms were very well kept. I didn't feel grossed out for one moment in the room. Actually, I take that back, the beadsprwead was cheap... I expect down for the price I paid for that room. The rugs were clean and very soft, The bathroom very clean which made me very happy and comfortable with letting my kids touch everything in the room. The fake electrical fireplace on the wall didn't even heat up and it so so beyond tacky. Ended up getting a ""noise complaint"" for my kids getting settled in.... Seriously? Noise complaint in a hotel? At a vacation location? My suggestion, just find something a litter classier. Shilo inn is a waiste of money.

We really enjoyed our stay at Shilo Inn Suites at Ocean Shores. The lobby is beautiful with a huge salt water fish tank .The customer service was excellent, even as we walked in the door it looked to be more of a 5 star hotel. The front desk personal were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the Ocean view is spectacular. We loved having a full restaurant on the premises. Food and service at the restaurant was excellent. You must try the blueberry pancakes for breakfast! The Shilo Inn Suites Hotel is the only hotel that I want to say in when we return to Ocean Shores, Wa. We will defiantly be back.
