I hate these kinds of places.
02/17/2008I don't need a fancy room for a simple overnight stay, but found this room to be lacking in a few areas.

1. The sheets on the bed were worn thin.
2. Non-Smoking room sure smelled of stale smoke.
Do need to stay in the area again in a few months, will probably look for another place. -

The location and price were right for our one night stay. We got and inexpensive room in an area close to where we needed to be. We were not pleased with the hair on the bathroom floor but other cleanliness was pretty good. The king size bed was not very comfortable...both sides were broken down and it was difficult to sleep anywhere but in the middle. It was evident by the pealing wallpaper, the bed, and the carpet that the rooms could use some overhauling. Breakfast was adequate and not crowded at 7:00am. Beware of rooms adjoining the third floor open lounge area. They are noisy if other parties are watching the big screen TV in the area.

I routinely stay in this area and had always stayed at the Comfort Inn across the highway. I decided to try something different and stay at the Lee's Inn. I was pleasantly surprised. This hotel is an excellent value for the price. The furnishings are high quality, the decor is more upscale than what one would expect for a hotel in the */night range. Overall, an excellent choice.

The hotel staff are friendly and efficient. The hotel is clean and neat. The room had a little refrigerator and in the third floor lobby was a microwave. It is an excellant value for a stay. We only traveled 25 minutes to the Beef and Boards Theater. Easy parking lot access and plenty of parking. It also had an elevator.

We checking in based on our reservation for two non-smoking rooms. We put our stuff in one room which was non-smoking went to dinner. When returned the second room was very smoking room. The hotel could not provide us a second non-smoking room, took our key and told us they would not bill us for the room we had not used. We had to impose on some friends to have a place for some of our kids to stay the night. The next morning they charged our card for both rooms.
