Get copies of everything you sign or agree to as you check in. I initialed something and they charged me more than I agreed to. Then they refused to show me what I had initialed and prove the charges at check-out. It was as if they held a gun to my head and robbed me. That is how the clerk made me feel anyway. I ended up writing to the general manager and I can only hope for her to refund the overcharge. Additonally, there was only one TV in the living room of a two bedroom suite. When I asked about that, I was told ""oh, we know, didn't I tell you that?"" I will never stay here again. There are several other Hotels in the immediate area.

I booked a room with 2 queen beds and was given a room with 1 king. When I requested the correct room at the desk she argued with me that my request was for 1 bed despite the fact that I had my confirmation in my hand. When finally given a room with 2 queen beds, it smelled like an ashtray (so much for non-smoking) and the phone in the room did not work. The pool was very cloudy which made me wonder about the cleanliness and the jacuzzi jets did not work. We have always stayed at this hotel when in Salem, but I think it's time to explore other options!

I am sending this as a testimony to the excellent custormer service I have experienced staying at this facility. The entire staff works as a team to provide the utmost in customer service. I have been here for over 2 months as work is being done on my residence. I feel like I am part of a family here. The staff goes out of their way to assist you in any need you may have. They are prompt to respond to your requests, the front desk staff are professional, curteous and friendly and the housekeeping team are just wonderful. The staff team here work together to provide outstanding customer service. In all the years I have stayed in hotels, this particular Inn stands out as the cream of the crop. I cannot say enough about the staff here, they exceed the definition of Customer Service. I will refer friends and business associates to this facility with the highest recomendations. We love Shilo Inns -- large rooms, tasty breakfasts with enough variety, relaxing pools and fitness rooms. The staff here in Salem went above and beyond to answer our questions (restaurants, parking, etc.), offer a rate lower than we'd been quoted, and provide pool towels and anything else that was asked.

Very satisfied with the hotel for the price. Concerned when I saw the many dogs staying with the guests. When asked about how they assign guests with pets in the rooms, the counter clerk said that there are specific rooms for the pets. I would recommend that you really be sure that the room you have had no prior pets, if you or your family/friends staying in the room is not allergic to pet dander.
