If unpretentious and minimalistic is fine for you (like it is for us), there is no better deal to be had then at the Arawak. We were glad there was no phones and no fuss. The experience was not unlike that of staying at a friends house or a relative except with a million dollar view on the best island in the Caribbean. WHo cares how nice the room is (or not), Anguilla is about staying out of your hotel and exploring the island. The staff and proprieters are great people like the rest of the islanders, and the cafe and pool attached you'll find you have all to yourself off-peak. You can't get a better deal for an oceanfront resort on the island. The money you save staying here can be used on the islands fine beach bars and restaurants, renting a car to seek out every nook and cranny, and rum punches!!!!

Hotel rates 1.5. A Motel 6! No A/C! No usable beach! No phones in rooms. Sheets stained bathrooms like a closet mold on tiles. Mosquitos bad, had to leave door open for breeze at night! I went to other resorts for their amenities CuisinArt. Charged for internet use that didnot work my email was not rec'd back in US..but when I sent one from another hotel, it did work. Charge for a rusty safe. Grounds unsightly areas of no grass much junk around. Get a car to get to the real beach . Food not good.It rained my room leaked. Do not recommend this hotel. Sorely disappointed.
