We stayed for the Ligonier Highland games as many other events were happening at this hotel. It is a nice hotel, and has a very nostalgic feeling. Putting a fridge in the bathroom was a new one for me, and it made using the sink a bit cramped. Otherwise, a nice room, a nice hotel, and unlike the previous reviewer, I did not have any issues with staff. They were very friendly. In fact, I forgot my cell phone charger, and they have a box of chargers. I found one that worked with my phone - saved me $ from having to buy one. There was stuff going on all over the place. Breakfast was expensive though....

The staff of this hotel was ignorant and difficult to deal with. We requested early check in multiple times and were not given a definite answer. When we came in early to see if the room was ready, the clerk behind the desk did not call anyone and simply told us no and to come back after 3. When we were finally able to check in, we discovered that our room was in the basement next door to the laundry room. The carpet smelled of mold, the paneling on the walls was banged up, the lampshades were broken and yellowed, and the sheet on the bed had a hole worn through it. We were so disgusted with the situation that we had to leave and stay at a different hotel.
