Think back to a frightening nightmare... peeling wallpaper, smelly corridor, creeking floors, stained sheets... and you get an idea of what the Microtel in Bethel is like. Add a little "Psycho" to the mix to get a sense of what the management is like, especially the morning manager. Bipolar might be a more appropriate term than Psycho... It required three days of begging to get them to look at a continuously flushing toilet, and then in the room they moved me to thereafter the toilet wouldn't flush at all. All of this is important, considering their "free" breakfast is sickening, with stale or over-thawed and smelly bagels and muffins, etc. Do yourself a favor, if you can't find any place else to stay in the area, sleep in the car or the woods; both are nicer and friendlier than the Microtel in Bethel.
