We had two rooms at the hotel. Both rooms were more than satifactory. The beds were as comfotable as any hotel I have ever stayed at. The sheets were soft. the rooms were both very clean. The hotel staff at the desk were very corteous and helpful. Free parking was a big plus and the location of the hotel made other trips we made easy to navigate.

This hotel was only 2 minutes from NYC taking the PATH subway and definetly worth the money. A great trendy district away from the hustle and bustle of NYC and still walking distance to malls, restaurants, and a supermarket, in case you want to take advantage of the hotel fridge and stove to eat one. The staff was pleasant and room was very roomy and comfortable. Definetly recommend this hotel and will stay again.

This hotel was really nice! The staff was very polite and courteous. They helped us find a place to park our U-Haul with my broken down car on an auto trasnport behind it within the gated parking lot. They were cool with us taking up 6 parking spaces. We had a pretty nice view overlooking NYC. We could see the Empire State Building from our bed. This hotel is in a really quiet location. You will sleep like a baby! It is really close to a Light Rail station...a 2 minute walk. Also it's only 1/2 mile to the PATH station at Exchange Place to access NYC. I really reccommend this hotel if you plan on spending time in either Jersey City or NYC. Try to avoid getting anywhere near the Holland Tunnel! We made a wrong turn in this circle to stay on 1 & 9 and ended up at the entrance to the Holland Tunnel. It's just CRAZY!! But people were surprisinngly courteous and let us change lanes with our U-Haul and car in tow. Stay here if you want a good night's rest.

My friend and I went to NYC for our birthday's. We did not want to drive into NYC, so I found this hotel through a search while I was at a holiday inn. I got a great rate because I am a government employee, (saved about $50-70.00 per night).

The hotel is very easy to get to once you get through the crazy interchange from the NJ turnpike (head towards the holland tunnel if coming in from the south). The hotel was very secure, (make sure you have your room key or token, or you can't get your car out of the lot)
and the front lobby doors lock around 11 pm (need room key). There are 2 metro stops and a ferry near the hotel.

The staff wasn't very helpful explaining how to get to the PATH (head right out of main entrance) walk to waterfront and go right). They forgot to mention that the Path and Subway runs on weekend schedules, so where you get on, is not the same place you get off to get back. (after a 2 hour nightmare between the subway and PATH, we took a cab to the hotel from Hoboken)

The hotel could use more sound proof windows, I was woke up by the local train and by a screaming cancer walk sponsor at 6:30 am.

Overall, the hotel was clean and the staff were nice. They offer a great cubby cupboard for snacks, bare essential, coffee etc. for great prices. Fitness center was nice, and there are places to eat and shop around hotel. Oh the rooms have a fridge, stove & microwave & you can grill outside!

Could have offered a free continential breakfast, but worth it all the same!

I got the cheaper of the two options available at the time, and it was much better than I anticipated. The room was slightly large for the average hotel room and included a small kitchen with refrigerator/freezer, stovetop, microwave oven, sink, dishwasher, toaster, and dishes/silverware for a couple people. There is a food store within walking distance too (about one mile away, perhaps a bit less). The room was quiet. The front desk was always staffed and seemed to have good security. The room also had a VCR/DVD combo, though we didn't use it. The bathroom was spacious and clean.

On the negative side, as far as I can tell no housekeeper stepped into our room during our 3 night/2 day stay. However, they supplied extra towels when we asked.

The location is in a seemingly upscale neighborhood, about 1 - 1.5 mile from the PATH train leading into Manhattan. I was comfortable walking the distance with my 13 year old daughter at night. There is also a nearby light rail train stop that can get you to/from the PATH train with almost no walking, but it seems silly to pay whatever the price was to avoid walking a mile. Last comment on location, there is also a shopping mall nearby and a couple restaurants within walking distance (a chinese place near the PATH station and a Chilis in the direction of the shopping mall).

Not sure why people like the "view" - there's buildings between it and the waterfront.

To summarize, this place is within easy distance of Manhattan (the PATH costs $1.50 per person, each trip), in a safe area. The hotel is quiet and comfortable with a kitchenette if you're looking to save a bit of money on food.
