If you want to spend a couple of days away from the hectic world, this is the place. Our little boys absolutely loved riding golf carts around the island. We saw deer, aligators and many other tanimals on our dirt road travels. We loved finding the Old Church (1881, built by the freed slaves) and the old school house. This place feels like you are going back in time; no cars, pavement, crowds, etc. We had a great time riding and feeding the horses and playing free golf on the oar three course on the ocean. If you want to explore a beautiful island that has a rustic feel (although some parts are plush), this is the place. Do not come expecting tons of nightlife, restaurants and Ritz Carlton service. Come expecting to have a relaxing time without the fuss of civilization and enough to keep you busy for a few days. The main attraction is exploring the island by golf cart.

Things are a different pace on Dufuskie - moment you set sail on the ferry you begin to unwind. The golf is outstanding, lots of nature to explore. Horseback and bikes are availible. Food was great. The bar had live music both night we were there and it was a blast. Try a resturant off resort that is named after a pig(I can't recall the name). It is a true experience that should not be missed. Our room was very large and comfortable but it was not really modern. "

The resort is great for a couples getaway.Service worked well just difficult to understand some broken english. Seasonal activities suggest to plan for the weather. Don't be in a hurry but the food was great! Overall nice experience.

06/08/2006There was a link in the bathroom. the fridge was not working. clean-up did not pick up dirty dishes out of hotel room. hotel staff was laughing loud late ...
There was a link in the bathroom. The fridge was not working. Clean-up did not pick up dirty dishes out of hotel room. Hotel staff was laughing loud late at night. Mold on the exterior of the hotel (Inn). Carpet had an odor.
