Located in a nice area of Las Vegas away from the Strip but close enough if you want the entertainment. Easy access to the airport, car rental and freeway access. Hotel nicely decorated, clean, & comfortable. Breakfast offered a good variety of food with great service and if you didn't like what you were offered, there are plenty of fast food restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay there again.

We chose the HIE at henderson because my son is 15 and I didnt want the hassle of Casino's or bars in downtown Las Vegas but I did want to be near enough to travel in and enjoy the strip ain the day while being able to visit the outlying areas - Red Rock Canyon, Lake Mead, Hoover Dam etc. althoughc a little worries about the hotel based on it receiving only 2 Travelocity stars I beleive you get what you pay for. We arrived at around about 11pm and booked in with no problems - we opened the door to our room and were immeduiately pleased with a spacious room with plenty of drawers, a good sized cupboard area, great shower (that ran at a constant temperature morning and night) and good air conditioning that didnt keep us awake all night! The hotel provides free breakfast which, while basic, is a great start to the day and also, while we were there, the hotel hosted free wine and beer tastings between 5 and 7pm Midweek evenings - each night we were there a hot meal was privided (Chicken teryaki with rice one night, hot dogs another, we missed the Weds night treat) Again, nothing special - but a genuinely appreciated complimentary offering. The hotel shares a pool which is open all day long - the water was wonderfully warm and, unsurprisingly in Mid October we had it to ourselves!! - another bonus! Staff were most helpful day and night and the standard of cleanliness was excellent (as an ex Accommodation manager for several holiday resorts in the UK I know how hard this can be to achieve). I'm not prone to gush or write much about anywhere really but this particular hotel got it right in every way.
