The hotel is nothing fancy, but it is clean and comfortable. The lobby and breakfast area were excellent. It is close to a few eating establishments which was nice so that we didn't have to drive very far, if at all, for a nice meal. It sounds like it is far from the Mall of America and the airport, but the interstate highway system makes it a 10 minute drive. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

If you book on Travelocity and ask for a king bed, N/S you will be given a room on the 4th floor. the 4th floor is a smoking floor with a couple of non smoking rooms. Our N/S room stunk!!! We were moved to the 2nd floor which is all non-smoking and it was fine. the staff was very nice and helpful. After room change all was great. So book a room with two queen size beds if you are smoke sensitive.

The Americinn of Inver Grove Heights was a pleasure to stay at. The hotel staff very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the nice sized pool. The continental breakfast was very good. The motel location was good for going to Mall of America and other attractions in the southern Metro area. We really enjoyed our stay.

Overall we were happy with our stay. The rooms were clean. The staff was friendly. The hotel was easily found and was only 9 miles from the airport. If you are looking for a nice fitness room, don't stay at this hotel. The fitness room is on the fourth floor. The fourth floor is also the "smoking floor" so it smells like cigarette smoke. The equipment in the fitness room is outdated and nothing that I was willing to use. It's disappointing when you think you're going to get a good workout and then see a fitness room that really shouldn't be used.

I appreciated the free shuttle ride to the Mall of America ---I saved gas and didn't have the hassle of parking. The front desk employees were friendly and ready to give us a ride promptly. The room was clean but had a stale, musty smell to it which was unpleasant, especially when just entering the room. The room had both a small refrigerator and microwave and we used both. The motel had an excellent selection for breakfast, including hot, fresh waffles which are my daughter's favorite. The pool was clean and looked well maintained.
