I have had the opportunity to travel across South Dakota on two separate occaions within the past week and each time I have stayed at the Chamberlain AmericInn. The rooms are as billed - quiet and as someone who wants peace and quite when I sleep, even the room air conditioner was better than most hotels I have stayed in. Although not extensive in what it had to offer, the fitness room was more than adequte for a traveler with a recombent bike and eliptical walker and a TV to catch up on the news, weather and sports. The pool area is a welcome sight after many hours on the road. The hot continental breakfast is great and DQ is just across the street to satisfy your sweet tooth. The staff was very friendly, helpful and even the cleaning ladies made it a point to greet you first when meeting in the hallway! I was waiting to check in and a guest did not get the type of room they had requested when they made their reservation (non-smoking) and I watched as the registration clerk made it right on the spot.

Very clean rooms, great breakfast and lots of fun things in the pool area for the kids including a basketball hoop they could shoot at from the water. Put this on your list as a great place to stay in Chamberlain.
