The Vanderbilt Hall is simply amazing!! I thought it was going to be this stuffy tacky Hotel, I was dead wrong. The Hotel Staff was great, they were very courteous, friendly, and helpful. The Hotel was completely renovated with all state of the art upgrades. We stayed in one of the few studios, this room was not your average sized room, it was the perfect size, the room and hotel was spotless. The Vanderbilt Hall is perfectly situated, a very short walk to everything. We parked our car and did not start it till we checked out. We have stayed at several Hotels / Motels in Newport and let me tell you we have found our home away from home at Newport. Cons: Having to pay for parking. The parking lot was on site and I did not understand why the parking fee was not part of the bill.

My husband and I booked this hotel last minute after seeing it online. We took a chance on it since we hadn't seen any reviews, but what a place!!! The location is ideal, the staff helpful, and the rooms beautiful. Vanderbilt really has the feel of an old Newport mansion, yet updated with the most beautiful and elegant decor. This will be our new hotel of choice in the Newport area.
