The location is a short walk across the bridge to the town center on an historic street. The room was on the fourth level and there was no lift. The stairs were steep and narrow. The room was small and the bath was tiny. The shower barely worked. While the staff was friendly there is little more to say for the Redcar other than it was convenient.

Redcar hotel was very nice old historic hotel. Service people were nice but a bit stand-offish. Breakfast buffet was excellent and very hardy meal. Room was large with great view, too bad windows were not a little cleaner so we could see better. The hotel was very quaint and we loved it, but this is not for people who are neat freaks and want everything new and sparkling clean. The parking was an adventure because it was so tight we could not get our car out. Part of the charm of this place.
