The hotel clerks were extremely friendly and helpful. The resort and the room were very neat and clean. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessary utensils and glassware. The location is so convenient - not far from the main highway, close to the beach, and next to lots of restaurants and shops. Overall a great stay.

I met my brother from east coast here, with my wife and 23 yo son. Not the place for us. Need to avoid the 1st floor rooms, which are 3 ft under ground level and dark. They were unable to accomadate me moving to an upper floor, as they said they were full for the 5 nights I stayed. I would have left after 1st night, but they have a 'no cancellation' policy. This is the timeshare crowd, so expect kids and noise. In room internet was free, but poor reception. Air conditioners noisy and stay away from the end units near stairway. For * a night, lots of other places to stay with better accomadations and clientale. Good things are underground parking, and a short walk across street to beach. Complimnetary bikes, towels, chairs and umbrella for beach. Onsite restaurante and sandwich shop were very good.

We recently stayed here with our two teens and had a wonderful time. The hotel staff were very helpful and accommodating. Rooms are fairly large and very comfortable. The room price included everything you could need for the beach such as: boogie boards, beach chairs, towels, sand toys, shovels, umbrellas and nerf footballs. There was a game room for the kids, games check out, video rental, a workout room and bikes to borrow. The beach is easy to access and is located just across the street and down some stairs from the hotel. Restaurants, icecream parlors, and convience marts, and shopping are all within walking distance.

We have been coming to Carlsbad for 3 years and each year we come to Carlsbad Beach Inn. This place is so perfect for families. You will not want to miss all the activities this place has to offer. Once you park your car, you will not have to use it again! Everything is within walking distance.

Stayed in 1 bed condo. Good: Service was helpful and curtious, very short walk to beach, near-by restaurants, ocean view, beds comfortable, rooms were clean. Bad: bathroom was gross (floor coming up, tile grout brown), couch had stains, outside was covered in cobwebs, electronics & appliances are 20 years out dated, laundry room too gross to use, says it has wireless internet access but neglects to mention it's only in library. We never did get a single perk for being on our honeymoon.
