Staying at The Greenbrier is like taking a step back in time. It is a true American classic...from the beautiful grounds to the Dorthy Draper decorated public rooms, there is truly no where else like it. Most of the staff has been there for decades and they have fantastic stories! The rooms are so charming and remind me of my grandmother's era. There are more activites than one could do in lifetime...it feels like summer camp for adults! Do not miss the interior tour, the falconry, bowling after dinner, the morning fitness walks (to get oriented), the sulphur soak in the spa, and the bunker tour. If you come with a large family, consider renting a cottage. They have kitchens and huge front porches. I cannot get enough of this place!!
