  We travel extensively throughout China and if you don't want the backpacker experience, it's the best in town. It's all relative and this hotel would be the one in which you want to stay in Jinan. There are several ""local hotel"" choices. The Crown Plaza is definitely not 5-star, but when you see the other options, you are grateful it's there! Everything worked. The carpet did not look vacuumed. The bathroom was clean, even though the fit and finish is shabby. Pillows were heavenly!
