Booked 2 nights through online travel website and was charged upon reservation completion. Carlyle charged me an additional $*** after check-out even though my reservation was already paid in full. Called hotel and they were rude and refused to credit my account. Was told it was my problem and to take it up with online travel website. Bad customer service. Continental breakfast was lousy.

Hotel is older and was once elegant in its day but is now a little rough around the edges. Lots of antiques, high ceilings, etc. Rooms were clean and included a small fridge. Bed had a foam rubber mattress that sagged on one side but was not really uncomfortable. Parking is in an underground garage with an elevator to the hotel rooms. Building is right next to the freeway but was not noisy inside. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had two rooms and one of the room keys did not work. Had to take it back twice and they replaced it the third trip to the front desk. Rate included breakfast which consisted of cereal, coffee, juice, and fruit. Were warning signs not to take food up to the rooms. We would stay there again for one or two nights as hotel rooms are very expensive in the Campbell area and this one is worth the money.

I stayed all over the place in Valley, but this stood out because of only one reason. Centerally located and great price. I stayed in a room with comfortable beds and quite cooling unit. I paid for nothing extra, everything was included in the price. The biggest plus was for a business traveler its important for the internet to work and it worked with a problem. I now am a weekly guest and everyone knows me, which makes it feel safe and confortable.

I expected something entirely different when I pulled up to this hotel. From the outside, it looks like an average hotel. But, the inside it beautiful, check in and check out was fast and efficient. The rooms were very comfortable, spacious. Double shower in the bathroom. Free breakfast. If I were ever to stay in Campbell or San Jose again, I would choose this hotel first. My fiance? is very picky about cleanliness and neatness and would not stay in hotel that was dirty. She was very pleased with our hotel and the staff. Also, underground parking is a GREAT bonus. For what I paid, I got a great amount. I will be back. I recommend that you the Carlyle hotel the next time your in town.

the building from outside looks like dump, but, once inside it's greatvery good european style hotel.hotel is very smaal compare to other hotels, but that the best part. it's not crowded.the rooms are furnished very nice. the beds are excellent
