Traveling w/ 2 teenagers, we booked the family suite. Separate closet areas and bathrooms, comfortable beds. Great staff, Renee delivered a flashlight and blanket to our room after telling her at checkin that we were heading to the beach after dinner, also assisted with restaurant selection (they have a basket of menus in the lobby) and provided a discount coupon. Really just a motel, nothing fancy or even particularly nice about the rooms. OK for the money, but would not stay again.

We enjoyed our stay here. No complaints at all. Our bed was comfortable. Room was a nice size and had a lovely view of the ocean - not ocean front though. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Wireless internet was a little bit on and off from our room, but worked on the terrace.

Enjoyed bavarian touches, friendly staff. Very helpful using hotel canister vacuum that allowed us to use space bags in our luggage to condense our clothes and accomodate for souvenir items to be packed. Heated pool was an added feature along with sauna. Continental breakfast optional in room or shared in lobby. Lobby allowed conversation with other hotel guests in an informal atmosphere. Staffer Renee was very helpful with sightseeing info regarding Big Sur.
