we recently stayed at the La Quinta Suites in Coeur d'alene, Idaho on Sherman from august 6-10, 2007. There were a few issues we had with this hotel. First of all, our room wasn't cleaned every night while we were staying there. The beds weren't made and the floor wasn't vacuumed.The sheets on the bed didn't seem to fit properly as they kept falling off.Also the carpets need to be steam cleaned. we couldn't let our children walk on the carpets bare footed and when they did wear socks they were black from the dirt on the floor.Also the bathtub had dirt stains on it and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a while. Also the garbage outside the hotel was overflowing as nobody had emptied the outside cans. also the lady in charge of the continental breakfast was nosy and interrupted people while they trying to cook their food, telling them how she thought the settings should be on the toaster and waffle iron. also, the chlorine seemed unusually high in the pool as after about 1/2 hour our eyes were burning and this has never happened at a public pool before. finally, when we checked out, nobody asked how our stay was or went over room charges and I believe this was the site manager. I guess as long as La Quinta gets their money, then that's all that counts

A clean, comfortable hotel in a lovely setting. The staff is helpful, even eager to assist. The workout facilities, pool, sauna, and laundry are very clean and well maintained. The rooms were neat and contained all the necessities. One exception was the wireless internet service, which was inaccessable from our room at the far reaches of the hotel. Stepping into the hallway helped, but the signal was simply not strong enough to support connectivity.
