The good: the room was clean/adequate; the staff pleasant; grounds pretty The bad: no coffeepot; no wifi; NO ice on second floor - very inconvenient; unable to receive the tv channels claimed by hotel; breakfast a ""bit"" disappointing (on the lowest end of continental) The ugly: unable to stop the bubble bath water from draining out - two reasonably intelligent adults had a go of it to no avail (this is big to me); the fitness room was locked w/no hours posted. Does one have to ask permission and get the staff to ""let you in"" to work out? Not my style. The ugliest: Imagine my dismay when I bounced downstairs to take my morning hot tub soak and the spa/pool area has the most unreasonable hours posted - 3:00 p.m. to 10:00. p.m. I was so disappointed! Now tell me, why would the pool area not open up until late afternoon? I've never heard of this before. The door was actually locked. Later in the morning (as I'm packing my car to leave), I notice a whole family (including two babies) enjoying the hot tub and pool. How and why did they get in? Again, does one have to ask for special permission to ""break the rules""? Again, NOT my style. I don't want to have to ask questions, track down staff, or make a BIG deal out of a quick little workout or a relaxing hot tub soak. Takes the FUN right out of it! Some of the ""bad"" of this hotel wouldn't have been enough to keep me away but when I add all of the bad w/the ugly and the ugliest, I do not see myself booking this hotel next time.

Been there every year for past 3 years during spring break ski season. Rooms are clean. Very friendly staff. It's a little further than the other hotel/motels, but it's close to the restaurant, grocery store, also the hardware store is next door, they have snow sleds. Steakhouse down the street is also good place to eat.

EconoLodge in Pagosa Springs offers clean rooms for skiers that are looking for a place to crash after a day on the slopes. There are not a lot of amenities and the continental breakfast is light on offerings, but for an overnight sleeping spot it was okay.
