Definitely the worst experience as far as the room is concerned, we didn't feel safe at all. It was NOT as advertized. We booked this room online at ** and when we arrived they tried to charge us **. The bed frame was pressure treated plywood with the edges exposed and we felt like we were rolling out of the sides all night, the toilet barely flushed and was very slow, the door frame and sink base were water damaged and the room smelled like mold, there were no doors on the closets and the blinds on the window were damaged and missing and we had to hang a towel over the window for privacy. The entire resort is very dated and has not had good maintenance, peeling paint, damaged framing and building supports and overall just run down. When we complained about our room the desk clerk just shrugged his shoulders and said nothing. Also if you stay in the main hotel the music is loud until 2am and the guy guarding the parking lot looks like an old drunk & is very scary and rude. The 2 good features about the resort are the resturant on the top floor with the view if you can get past the bad maintenance the food and view are pretty nice but the service is lacking and we had to ask several times for normal utensils as we were only offered plastic which is impossible to cut meat with. And the beach is nice however there in no shower when you leave the beach to wash off the sand before you enter the resort resulting in a lot of sand everywhere. The place could be nice if it was renovated and someone actually cared about service and comfort of the guests.

Lani Kai Bayside was an expensive dump. For $* per night, you get a dirty room with a broken telephone and blinds that fall off when you try to close them. It's obvious that the hotel management is just collecting money from unsuspecting tourists who locate the place on the Internet, which I did. Had I seen the rundown place before I booked it, I would have NEVER stayed there. AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE.

A Christmas Eve to Remember
While the hotel is dated, you are within walking distance of everything, and the view from the balcony is breathtaking. great value for the money! we will go back!
