  For a 4.5 star hotel, we were extremely disappointed with our stay at the Prestige Harbourfront Resort in Salmon Arm. We arrived to discover that the online description was not what we had expected (if you want a suite, don't count on it) and the room that one family member ended up with had obviously not been vacuumed or properly cleaned prior to their check-in...they picked up large pieces of garbage from the carpeting and the coffee pot still had the previous guest's coffee sitting in it. The 'new and luxurious' hotel was incredibly overpriced for the quality of the accommodation - housekeeping didn't do a complete job after the first night and trying to get additional towels or toiletries - even toilet paper! - seemed to be incredibly difficult. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the area.
