    This resort is under new management, and this management has a ways to go. They do have lots to work with though. Right now, you are paying good money for second rate lodging. We stayed in a condo on the Tree top section of the resort ,a studio, which shows it's age. Rugs were stained, no blankets for the bed, toliet paper was worse than bargain brand, mold on the bathroom floor, etc. Think you get the picture! Given some TLC, in time this has the possibility of turning into a decent resort. But for now, wait till the renovations are complete.

    The staff was extremely nice but the rooms are horrendous. the first one... the door wouldnt lock and the bath had mold. the second one... had mold. wouldnt go back.

    My husband, two girls, and myself stayed at Fernwood for a long weekend in early June. I was really impressed with the hotel staff and overall we had a wonderful stay. We spent the weekend in one of their villas and it truly felt like we had our own little aparment. They seemed to be new and I don't think any of us felt like we were cramped at all. We decided to stay here because the website made it sound like they had a lot of activities for everyone and I was very pleased to find that all of us were able to do something we really enjoyed. My husband went golfing, the girls did some hikes, and I got to go shopping at a nearby outlet mall. Again, the staff we dealt with was always very friendly and the weeked was just great, exactly what we needed.

    It's fun, for me and my family, I wouldn't find any hotel better than the Fernwood hotel anywhere in BUshkill or Poconos. Even, if there was a better hotel than the Fernwood hotel, I wouldn't step through the frount door unless I was asking for directions.

    I DON'T KNOW WHERE OTHER PEOPLE WHO R BASHING THIS PLACE STAYED, BUT I HAVE BEEN HERE 2 TIMES & PLANNING MY 3ED. THE VILLA WAS MORE THAN EXPECTED, THE POOL & BEST JACUZZE AREA I HAVE BEEN TO YET! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS THE BEST POCONO RESORT!!!!
