Travelers may be enthusiastic because of the price, room size, quality of the hotel, etc. I had two important requirements and Country Inn & Suites By Carlson in Galena met both. 1. I was in a business trip and I needed a reliable Internet connections. Most hotels advertise free and fast wifi nowadays but half of them provide poor Internet service. At Carlsons the Internet was provided via cable and it was better then any similar service in my recent practice. 2. I could even access a free printer. 3. For me, the workaholic and for the pleasure travelers the management offered a surprise: Beside the good breakfast, we got a tasty, home made vegetable/beef soup for dinner. Now that's hospitality for the cold winter nights!!! Las from IL

This was a really impressive hotel for a chain. Everything was very nice, and clean. It felt very upscale, but the price was still low! We didn't get a chance to use the pool, but it was really nice and had a great slide too. Beds and pillows were in mint condition, and very comfortable. It's convenient to have the restarant attached to the hotel so you don't have to go outside!

This was a clean and comfortable place to stay. Excelent price! Nice size pool with big water slide was very fun for the kids. Hug 12 person hot tub, didn't feel crowded. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was free and consisted of Coffee, juice, toast, fruit, bagels, hard boild eggs, yogurt, sausage, and made to order waffles. I had no complaints about this place and I am pretty picky. I would definitely stay here again. It was only 2 miles to the downtown area of Galena. Walmart and Culvers are right out the door if you need anything during your stay. The pool was open until 10pm and the game room until 11pm. Great place.

My family stayed at the Country Inn & Suites because they are always, affordable, friendly and conveniently located. The breakfast's that are included with your stay play a big role in our decision process. The food is always good and the staff is always friendly. Whenever we travel, our first choice is for Country Inn & Suites.
