The Oxon Hill Comfort Inn had a great front desk staff. Professional and friendly, I expected that my room would reflect the greeting I received at check in. Unfortunately, what I was met with was a room that was partially complete. The beds appeared to have clean linens but the pillows were strewn across them. The rooms carpet was worn and dirty and peeling away from the wall. There were food stains crusted on the desk chair. The bathroom was acceptable, however there were no usable towels and no wash cloths at all. The towels were so badly stained they were offensive. Black and brown stains. They also had human hairs on them and in the threading. They looked more like utility towels one might use for washing their car or cleaning around the house. When I went in to the hallway the maid service person allowed me to pick my own towels from a freshly washed cart. I was unable to find any wash cloths and unfortunately again, all of the towels were badly stained. The coffee urns in the lobby were empty. There were open closets along the hallway that quite frankly looked a little scary. After I had been checked into my room for about an hour a maid nocked on the door to clean the room which gave me the impression that the strewn pillows had not had their cases changed. She was obviously confused about why I was in the room which had not been finished. I was so Uncomfortable at the Comfort Inn that I left a few hours after checking in. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone who has expectations of any quality standards.

The location was close to my meeting in Crystal City but the cost was much lower than anything closer. The lobby is not very impressive (the plain clothes police officer sitting as a security guard didn't help, but I was a late arrival), but the room was clean, had a mini fridge and microwave along with free WiFi. A typical continental breakfast was part of the price. Good value for the price.

The room we had during our trip was clean and quiet. There was a fridge and a microwave in the room. The bathroom could have used a little TLC, but was clean and functional. We stayed 4 nights and never had a problem. Fairly close to the Metro Station.
